Meet the Doctor

A native of Houston, Dr. Sophia Nicolosi’s journey into dentistry began in the arts, where she received her Bachelor's in Painting from the University of Houston. While working as a dental assistant following graduation, she saw a path forward as a Dentist. Dentistry provided an avenue where she could draw from her artistic roots and provide care to people by building relationships while also giving them a beautiful smile! Dr. Nicolosi went back to school, completing her DDS degree at the UTHealth School of Dentistry in Houston, and is excited to join the AK Dentistry practice!

Dr. Nicolosi provides dental care to all ages and loves the ever-evolving techniques for offering esthetic, comfortable oral healthcare. She is passionate about helping patients achieve their best smile and knowing they are well cared for.

In her free time, Dr. Nicolosi loves traveling and spending time in nature (when the weather is nice!). She loves to paint, read a good mystery novel, and hang out with her husband, Austin, and cat, Porco.

Dr. Nicolosi was a recipient of the AGD Senior Student Dental Award and is a member of the AGD organization.
